Love Your Feet
The principle behind Reflexology comes from the theory that the whole body is mapped out in the feet in a series of reflexes or zones.
The practitioner uses their thumbs and fingers only to apply gentle pressure to the feet, working the reflexes in a specific sequence so as to detect any imbalances or tiny crystal like deposits in the reflexes, which may be blocking the flow of energy throughout the body. Blocked reflexes are then ‘worked’ with the hands to correct the imbalance, releasing the blocks so that energy can flow to the whole body. This could be likened to removing the vehicle that has caused a traffic jam, so that the traffic can flow freely again.
Reflexology is very relaxing and may result in the recipient feeling peaceful and more able to cope with the stresses and strains of every day living. Physical symptoms may also benefit from Reflexology as the body naturally starts to repair and support itself.
